Niclas Benni

Niclas Benni works as a rural and agricultural finance specialist in the Social Policies and Rural Institutions Division of the Food and Agriculture Organization of United Nations. His fields of specialization include value chain financing and gender-focused agriculture finance. Previously, he worked on establishing co-financing partnerships with the private sector to develop rural finance projects at the International Fund for Agricultural Development. He also worked with the United Nations’ High Commissioner for Refugees and the NGO InterSOS on economic development projects for forced migrants in Lebanon and Malaysia. He holds a Master in Development Economics from Bocconi University, and is a graduate of the Rural and Agricultural Finance Programme of the Boulder Institute of Microfinance.
